Delivery & Returns

Josephine's Chocolate will be closed from Friday 20th December 2019 until 13th January 2020 for a winter holiday. Orders received during the holiday will be made and posted in the week of 13th Jan 2020.

Josephine's Chocolate will also be closed fro March 2020 until September / October 2020.

A return date will be confirmed in 2020. No orders will be taken during that time. 

All sold chocolates have a shelf life of 3-6 months. Marshmallows and Caramels should be eaten within 7 days of delivery. 

Delivery

Delivery to UK only. 

Charges:

  • Standard delivery: £3.95 

  • Signed For Express Delivery: £7.95 * Not available for wedding favours.

  • Signed for Wedding Favour Delivery: £10 -  will be sent by Royal Mail or ParcelForce, depending on the weight of your order.

  • Guaranteed Saturday Delivery: £14.99

Delivery Times:

We hand make everything at Josephine’s Chocolate, so standard delivery can take up to 2-5 days to dispatch, but we always aim to send it sooner when possible.

Your order will be sent by Royal Mail, first class, and should arrive within 1-2 days of being dispatched to Mainland UK, or up to 5 days to UK Islands or Northern Ireland.

If you select Express Delivery and order before 12pm, your order will be dispatched the next day. Items sent by Express Delivery will be sent First Class Signed For, so you will need to ensure somebody is home to sign for your package on arrival.

 

For Guaranteed Saturday Delivery  order before 12pm on Thursday, chocolates will be posted on Friday guaranteed for Saturday Delivery. Please remember there must be someone there to sign for your package.

Missed Delivery:

Should delivery to the address not be possible, a card should be left by Royal Mail to let you know how you can collect the parcel or how to arrange re-delivery. It then becomes the recipient's responsibility to arrange a suitable re-delivery date. We accept no liability if delivery is not made due to the recipient not being available, or if goods become unsuitable as a result of non-delivery.

 

Returns:

 

We hope you are happy with your purchase. However, if for any reason you are not entirely satisfied or you otherwise wish to cancel your order, please contact us as soon as possible at orders@josephineschocolate.com.

Because we make all our chocolates fresh, only items made from solid chocolate, which have not been personalised, are eligible for a refund. Perishable goods, including our Sea Salt Caramels and Marshmallows, will not be eligible for a refund, nor will any items which include a personalised message.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unopened and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

To request a return, please contact us at orders@josephineschocolate.com with your order details. You will be asked to return your item(s) to:

Please be sure to obtain Proof of Postage when returning goods to us. You should retain your Proof of Postage in order to provide proof to us that you have returned the goods, in the unlikely event that we do not receive the returned parcel.

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item.

If you require a refund we will refund the price paid by you for the goods, not including initial postage charge and the return postage charge, to your original method of payment, within 14 days of us receiving the goods, providing you have returned the goods to us within 14 days of delivery to you or your notifying us of cancellation.

If you do not return your goods within 14 days of notifying us of cancellation of your order, we shall be entitled to withhold payment of any refund.

Only full priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded.

This policy does not affect your rights under law as a consumer, which apply in addition.
